I photograph people in a way that feels easy, honest, and true to who they are, because the best photos happen when you look, and most importantly feel like yourself.

Jessica Laforet - About Me!

Most people feel a little unsure in front of the camera.
They worry about how they’ll look, what to do, or whether the photos will feel like them.

That’s where I come in.

I’m Jessica Laforet, a Toronto-based photographer who helps people feel comfortable and confident so their photos reflect who they are. Whether you’re getting married, updating your headshot, or capturing a moment with your family, my goal is the same: to create honest images in a relaxed, collaborative way.

You don’t need to know how to pose or have it all figured out. I’ll guide you through the process and keep things easy and grounded so you can just be yourself.

When I’m not working, I’m usually in the west end of Toronto with my partner in search of the best ice cream or deciding the next roll of film I am going to shoot with and where. I’m naturally curious about people and how photography can honour the stories they carry.

If this sounds like what you’re looking for, I’d love to connect.
